Isabel Anderson Comer Museum & Arts Center is proud to present The Helen Keller Art Show of Alabama. The Helen Keller Art Show is for students of Alabama who are visually impaired, blind, or deaf and blind.
The Helen Keller Art Show of Alabama is open to students of all ages in the Alabama public, private residential, and home schools, providing them an opportunity to showcase special talents and abilities. The artwork is unique with emphasis on creativity, color and tactile media. It is exhibited in various venues throughout the state during the year. It is sponsored in part by The UAB School of Optometry Vision Science Research Center, Education Outreach Mobile, Purchase Award Individuals and Agencies, and private donations. Sylacauga is honored to showcase these wonderful works of art!
The reception for this outstanding show is Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served and live music will be provided by musician/songwriter Jim Hopkins. Admission is free – donations welcome.
